Raven Davis

Raven Davis is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, human rights speaker, and educator who is from the Anishinaabek Nation, Treaty Four in Manitoba, Canada. Davis was born and raised in Michi Saagig /T’karonto Territory (Toronto, Ontario), and currently works as a professional artist and educator between T’karonto and K’jipuktuk, (Halifax). A parent of three sons’, Davis’ practice as a Two-Spirit, trans and disabled identified educator and artist, works within the mediums of painting, performance and media. Challenging systemic oppression, Davis fuses narratives of colonization, race, gender, disability, transformative justice, Two-Spirit identity and the Anishinaabemowin language and culture in their work.
